Prime Minister to visit Qatar and Kuwait

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will visit Qatar and Kuwait to promote co-operation in financial investment, commerce, labor exchange, energy and agriculture, the Foreign Ministry said. Vietnamese officials expect to sign a double tax avoidance agreement with the oil-rich nations of Qatar and Kuwait, as well as agreements on aviation and investment protection. The delegation is also expecting to endorse a US$1 billion joint investment fund with Qatar. Vietnam State Capital Investment Corporation, which oversees all government funding to state-run businesses, will sign a co-operation protocol with the Kuwait Investment Office. Representatives of more than 80 Vietnamese enterprises will accompany Dung on his March 7 to 12 official visit, a Foreign Ministry representative said.
